Hello, and welcome to Social Studies World. This site includes a variety of resources for Social Studies education for teachers, parents, and other interested parties. Social Studies education incorporates the study of several subjects including History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. Having knowledge of these subjects enables students to have a greater understanding of their world around them. The main purpose of this site is to promote the study of Social Studies and to share ideas for educational activities that are fun and engaging. Another purpose of this site is to provide a forum for discussion for educational policy and how it affects the instruction of Social Studies within the classroom.
