Audio and Visual instruction - InDesign file
Instructional Design for Audio and Visual instruction - PDF file
Reflection
For this assignment, the instructions were to synthesize images, text and audio together to create effective and meaningful instruction on a single page. I had to create the file in InDesign and then export it to a PDF. I started with my InDesign file that I created for the visual/text assignment. I added the sound icons and sound files to the document. I thought everything looked great and was working properly, but then when I exported the filed to PDF, it did not work. I am not sure what I did wrong- probably something to do with the layers or something, but I did not have the time or energy to figure out the mistake so I started over. The end result is a layout almost identical to the visual/text document but without the striped background. It was frustrating for me when the program did not work in a way that I had anticipated that it would. I guess I just did not see a reason for creating interactive PDFs. I mean when would I be in a situation in the future in which I would need to do something like this? I did what I needed to do for this assignment but did not make an effort to do more troubleshooting or learn more about how to create interactive PDFs.
